Is it Possible to Feel Youthful as We Age?

What if you were able to remain healthy and vibrant no matter what age?

A human clinical trial published in the journal Aging reports that diet and lifestyle interventions can, in fact, slow your biological clock. Again, science proves what we already know to be true.

Don't you love it when that happens?

The study was a collaboration between the Helfgott Research Institute and the Yale University Center for Genome Analysis. The results were reviewed at McGill University and the National University of Naturopathic Medicine.

Here’s what they found…

⚡️ 43 healthy men (ages 50-72), who followed an 8-week lifestyle program, decreased their biological age (based on the Horvath DNAmAge clock) by an average of 1.96 years.

⚡️ The men following the program had a biological age of an average of 3.2 years younger than the controls who were not following the program at the end of the 8 weeks. #DNAmAge is a clock that measures methylation markers to determine biological age. In some circles, it is also known as 'epigenetic aging'.

This is the protocol used in the study:

⚡️The diet was #Plantbased and nutrient-dense with small amounts of animal protein

⚡️Intermittent fasting was followed, without eating between 7 pm and 7 am

⚡️A powdered supplement was taken twice daily, which included fruit and vegetable powders, seeds, herbs, plant enzymes, prebiotics, and probiotics

⚡️An additional probiotic was taken to provide Lactobacillus Plantarum

⚡️Exercise was required for 30 minutes per day at least 5 days per week

⚡️Breathing exercises were performed twice a day for relaxation

⚡️Regular coaching sessions kept the participants on track

The study is the first of its kind to shows how powerful diet and lifestyle can be to impact our health as we age.
