True Alchemy Happens from Within

IF YOU THINK ADVENTURE IS DANGEROUS, TRY ROUTINE, IT’S LETHAL .

Greetings Beloved Friends,

It’s been a busy 6 weeks for me, hopping continents and living a nomadic lifestyle. The last time I traveled extensively was exactly 20 years ago, a time when I was younger and naïve, seeing the astonishing world for the first time with fresh eyes. I find myself here again, in that space of curiosity and wonder, pushing geographical boundaries and intentionally creating circumstances that challenge my comfort zones.

I want to see what I am capable of underneath the solace of the familiar.

The first stop was Rome where I embarked on a learning and discovery adventure cruise that we called the “Moving Monastery on the Mediterranean”. The experience was hosted by Dr. Joe Dispenza, an international lecturer, researcher, corporate consultant, author, and educator. Dr. Joe was an incredibly compassionate and present person, driven by the conviction that each of us has the potential for greatness in life. These teachings were so incredibly profound and I especially liked how he presented so much applicable research to bridge the worlds of science, quantum physics, and spirituality.

There’s a ton of videos and interviews with Joe, check them out here.

Our next stop was Santorini, Greece. This place casts a spell on you with its white washed structures, sparkling aqua waters, and the most brilliant sunsets one could ever imagine. It’s the type of beauty that is so captivating it brings tears to your eyes.

Santorini was a place to decompress and allow the quiet, enchanting feel of this place to relax and rejuvenate my exhausted soul. Magic appeared all around us.

Nothing could have prepared me for the stark contrast of arriving in Nepal, my next stop on the journey. Nepal is loud, chaotic, colorful, dirty, and beaming with positive energy. The people are the kindest, most gentle souls I have ever encountered in any of my travels. Nepal is considered the Crown Chakra of the world with its high Himalayan peaks and ancient, sage teachings. I am with a group of 14 medical professionals, gearing up for 4 days of volunteering in a remote village called Karmidanda. We will be serving around 600 individuals who do not have access to regular medical and dental care.

The call to serve runs deep in my soul. I feel so incredibly grateful for this opportunity to give healing and expertise to these folks who so desperately need it. As it turns out, the mid-life crisis might in fact be a mid-life reclamation, a transformation of epic proportions, a total metamorphosis.

The journey has been difficult and beautiful and magical in every twist and turn.

As I’ve always suspected, true alchemy happens from within. And I wouldn’t want to have experienced it any other way.

With love,

Dr. Marissa
